What is your personal relationship with organic farming? Why do you do this work every day?
Montse: My relationship with organic farming is personal, as I got to know it better thanks to Biovalle, the company founded by brothers Juan Salamanca and César Salamanca. It is a company that is deeply committed to ecology, caring for the land as if it were their own home: with patience, dedication and responsibility.
I do this work every day because I believe that the land gives us so much and deserves to be treated well, thus creating a healthier environment for everyone.
What differences do you see between male and female farmers?
Montse: In our company, we don’t see any differences. We are a group of eight people, made up of four men and four women. Each person contributes their experience, and we coordinate to get everything done by working as a team.
What do you wish for women in France, Belgium and Switzerland (or around the world)?
Montse: I wish for women in France, Belgium and Switzerland, and all women around the world, to have confidence in themselves and to find respect, equality and opportunities to grow, just as I have found them as part of the Biovalle family.
