The son and grandson of farmers, Paco Aceras began working in a time before tractors were known in the Cáceres region. After his father was killed in an accident Paco took over work in the field and began farming using organic methods; in 1998 he helped to create the Tierra Sana association.
After more than twenty years of caring for the land, using techniques and tools from different strands of organic agriculture (regenerative, biodynamic, French with the use of nettles, comfrey, horsetail, etc.) and producing his own compost and other soil nutrients (biofertilizers, purines), Paco believes he is now finally reaching the point of working with a properly ‘living’ soil.
