Manuel González
Location: Castaño del Robledo, Huelva & Bormujos, Seville
Products: Manzanilla olives, walnuts and native fruit
This project began many years ago, when Manuel’s parents, Viki and Manolo, decided it would be healthier, more profitable and more educational to begin growing their own food.
In 2005 they certified as organic a small piece of land in the town of Castaño del Robledo, part of the Sierra de Aracena, where their son Manuel joined them. They began farming 6 plots, which they try to manage as sustainably as possible.
Although they have orchards for fruit and walnut trees, they keep these for personal consumption; the only product they sell is fresh table olives.
